美國的服裝禮儀文化
1、White Tie或者說是Ultra-formal
這是最最正式的場合,什麼授勳儀式、宮廷晚宴之類的。男士要穿燕尾服(tailcoat),配套的是白色馬甲,白色襯衫,白色領結。褲子兩側有兩道筆直的豎條。褲子不用皮帶用吊帶。女士要穿大裙襬的長晚禮服。
2、Black Tie或者說是Formal
這是最常見的正規著裝要求,男士要穿晚禮服(Tuxedo),前襟領子是黑緞面的,配白襯衫,黑領結,黑腰帶,黑襪子,黑鞋。褲子兩側夾縫有和領子同面料的黑緞夾條。女士穿晚禮服(Evening gown),低胸露肩的那種,相配的小包和鞋子。項鍊、耳環等首飾的真假無所謂,但是要閃亮,戴手鐲而不是手錶。
3、Black Tie Optional 或者是CreativeBlack Tie,
男士可以穿Tuxedo或正式的深色圓擺西裝,可以不打領結換成打領帶,襯衫最好是白色的。女士可以是晚禮服、不拖地的四分之三長禮服或者是考究的晚宴兩件套(dressy separates),配備參考Formal。
4、Semi-formal
男士:深色西服。女士:短禮服、考究的套裝
5、Cocktail
雞尾酒會一般在下午4點到7點舉行,屬於半正式著裝,(Semi-formal)男士穿深色西裝,女士穿短裙或套裝,長度和白天服裝相同,但用料要講究,天鵝絨、絲綢緞子之類的`,顏色要比白天的服裝明亮,華貴,配上閃亮的首飾,可搭配圍巾。要穿高跟鞋。妝比白天要濃。
6、Dressy Casual
男士:比較講究一點的便裝,像西裝上衣配休閒褲,襯衣休閒西褲等。女士:連衣裙,漂亮上衣配褲子,毛衣配裙子等可以自由發揮。
7、Business Casual
不少並不太而別正式的職場聚會(擴充人脈的party)和一些不錯的餐館都會要求business casual,這比Dressy Casual 再隨便一些,但是不能穿牛仔褲。
8、Casual 或Informal
這種說法意味著可以隨便穿,但是短褲、涼鞋還是要避免,當然你也不要西裝革履的,有時越隨便的穿著,越能看出人的品味,不能掉以輕心。女士穿一件質地普通的連衣裙肯定比穿牛仔褲雅緻。化淡妝。
美國孩子必學的基本禮儀
1.When asking for something, say"Please."
向別人詢問事情,說“請”。
2.When receiving something, say "thankyou."
當接受東西時,說“謝謝”。
3.Don't interrrupt grown-ups who arespeaking with each other unless there is an emergency.They will notice you andrespond when they are finished talking.
除非有意外,否則切勿打斷大人們的交談,大人談完話後會注意到你並回答你。
4.If you do need to get somebody's attentionright away, the phrase"excuse me" is the most polite way for you toenter the conversation.
當你需要他人的注意或想與人談話,最禮貌的短語是“對不起,打擾了”。
5.When you have any doubt doing something,ask permission first. It can save you from many hours of grief later.
當你不確定可不可以做某件事情,最好先徵得許可,這樣可以避免以後長時間的悔過之痛。
6.The world is not interested in what youdislike. Keep negative opinions to yourself,or between you and your friends,and out of earshot of adults.
不要期望全世界都關心你是否喜歡一件事,將負面的意見留給自己或與好朋友們傾訴,不要向大人們訴苦。
7.Don't comment on other people's physicalcharacteristics unless, of cuourse,it's to compliment them, which is alwayswelcome.
不要評論他人的外表,除非是受人歡迎的好評。
8.When people ask you how you are, tellthem and then ask them how they are.
當別人問你可好,回答他們,並問他們可好。
9.When you have spent time at your friend'shouse, remember to thank his or her parents for having you over and for thegood time you had.
當你到朋友家玩時,記住對你朋友的父母說謝謝邀請,也謝謝在一起的好時光。
10.Knock on closed doors and wait to see ifthere's a response before entering.
門若是關著的,請敲門等候迴音,再進去。
11.When you make a phone call, introduceyourself first and then ask if you can speak with the person you are calling.
當你打電話時,先介紹自己,然後問可否與你要通話的人交談。
12.Be appreciative and say “thank you"for any gift you receive. In the age of e-mail, a hand-written thank-you note canhave a powerful effect.

13.Never use foul language in front ofadults. Grown-ups already know all those words, and they find them boring andunpleasant.

14.Don't call people mean names.
不要給人起卑劣的綽號。
15.Do not make fun of anyone for anyreason. Teasing shows others you are weak,and ganging up on someone else iscruel.

16.Even if a play or an assembly is boring,sit through it quietly and pretend that you are interested. The performers andpresenters are doing their best.

17.If you bump into somebody, immediatelysay "excuse me."

19.As you walk through a door, look to seeif you can hold it open for some one else.

20.If you come across a parent, a teacher,or a neighbor working on something, as if you can help. If theysay"yes", do so -- you may learn something new.

21.When an adult asks you for a favor, doit without grumbling and with a smile.

22.When someone helps you, say "thankyou". That person will likely wantto help you again. This is especiallytrue with teachers!

23.Use eating utensils properly. If you areunsure how to do so, ask your parents to teach you or watch what adults do.

24.Keep a napkin on you lap; use it to wipeyour mouth when necessary.
