“When I was young, I’d listen to the radio…。” I heard a beautiful song called “Yesterday Once More”。 I really want the past to come back like it does in the song。

When I was a little girl, I was very happy。 I could watch TV。 Every day, I watched cartoons。 They were very interesting。 I could play many games with my friends。 We often flew kites and climbed the hills。 I also could cry loudly and laugh happily。 Life was free and easy。 I didn’t worry about my lessons and there was nothing unpleasant。

But they have all gone。 Now I’m in Grade Three。 I have lots of trouble。 I have a lot of homework to do。 I have no time to play or watch TV! I have to spend a lot of time on subjects。 I must try my best to study well。 I really feel very tired。 I want to sleep all day, but I know that no pains, no gains。

“It’s yesterday once more。 Looking back, every sha la, la, la, every wo, wo, still shines…。”

Educators have known for a long time that people learn in different ways. That is why teachers present information in various forms. For example, as well as explaining a new language, language teachers often provide other learning experiences such as books, charts, videos, audio cassettes, songs, debates and group work. In this way, all students in a class have an opportunity to learn in the way that best suits them.

In the last 50 years or so, researchers have been studying learners in an attempt to identify all the possible learning styles that humans use. They have found that we can very roughly divide people into three groups — those who learn best through seeing, those who learn best through listening and those who learn best through moving, doing or touching.

Some research has identified eight distinct learning styles, and researchers have made up tests to find out which of these learning styles best suits different people. These tests show that, although most people have one dominant style of learning, they are also able to use other learning styles effectively. Some people even seem to have many different learning styles.

The advantage of knowing what kind of learner you are is that you can then study in the way that best suits your learning style.

The latest statistics show that the number of people attending cinemas is getting steadily smaller. At the same time, the number of television viewers is growing at almost the same rate.

Experts say that these two trends are connected in three ways. First, over the past few decades television sets have appeared in almost every home. Second, films very quickly become available on video, and can be shown on the TV screen. Third, it is becoming more expensive to make films, and so the prices of cinema seats are rising.

However, this does not mean the death of the movie industry. There will always be people who prefer to go out to see a film. This is because no matter how good a TV film or video is, it can never be as entertaining as a film shown on the big screen.

Film is giving way to TV. According to an investigation made on the number of film-goers and TV-watchers in a ten-year period , at the end of 1985, the number of film-goers declined sharply to about 15 thousand which accounts for only some 20 percent of what in 1975, the heyday of films. This decline, no doubt, owes to the steadily increasing number of TV-watchers in the same decade.

We are often told not to judge people by their appearance, because for a person, abilities are far more important than appearance. Throughout history, there are numerous examples of outstanding people with remarkable achievements who are just plain or not good-looking at all.

However, nowadays some people hold the belief that appearance outweighs abilities, partly because some beautiful people seem to have advantages in competitive situations like job interviews and have been given more opportunities than others.

Nevertheless, I still firmly believe that abilities are more important For one thing, although good looks are easy on the eye, it is always one's abilities that create values that really matter. For another, while people's good looks were born to them, abilities have to be gained through deliberate self-cultivation and years of hardworking which speak more of people's true colors. Last but not least, abilities grow over time while good looks only fade.

Eventually, it is the abilities that help people succeed, so it is safe to say that abilities will always bring more to life than good looks.

The same time, the same street,at the end of which stands the same school, which I passed my first nine years of study. I’m walking with some kids waring bags as I do.Will they think I’m one of their classmates?Though I am a little older than they are,but I’m not too old tostudy there if I would like.

Well,I’m just getting home after a week’s study in my college.I was them five years ago,six years ago, seven years ago, eight years ago, nine years ago,ten years ago, eleven years ago, twelve years ago,or even thirteen years ago.but four years ago,Ientered another middle school, and last year,I enter the college.

In the 1920s, a man from England had finish climbing the Himalayas which was thought to the most difficult mountain to conquer. People spoke highly of him and asked him how he conquered the mountain. The man said calmly that he conquered nothing but himself. These words seem to be simple, but for me, they are meaningful. When we face the difficulties, we will give up because we think we can’t do it. With that thought, we have given up so many chances to try. Life is a journey, if we stop keeping moving on, how can we see the coming scenery. It is obvious that the problem is ourselves, we are afraid of failure and refuse to try. If we get over this thought and have a try, then we are heading to the road of success. When we conquer ourselves, we are successful.
